Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has won numerous awards for her work. She is a proponent of human rights for animals. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). The Getaway was released in 1972. New York, she was born and brought up in an artistic family. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. The first two films she made were noticed and she received recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international smash, and earned her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, she had been voted as the number one female box-office participant in the entire world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were engraved in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits comprise The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw has married thrice.
