Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian musician and singer. She has produced many studio records. DiFranco categorizes her music as folk-rock or alternative, but it also contains influences such as punk, hip-hop and jazz. Widely considered a feminist icon Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement, and was among the first musicians to launch her own record label in the year 1990. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is Italian heritage, while her mother hails from Montreal. Ani Difrasco wrote and sang the song "32 Flavors". The track is available on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani diFranco. It was released in 1996. A variation of the track is included on the film soundtrack for 1999's Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate.
