Niykee is still writing songs, even though she has been caught up in the latest chaos. Niykee was selected to be part of the YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and he accompanied her on stage. She is a constant magnet for producers who are just starting out. The beats she hears from producers spark songs. "I'll be able to tell in the first five minutes if this is a quality beat. Once I've an idea in my head, I will start writing immediately." My guitar is set up on the porch, and I'll let my lyrics flow. Most of the time, it's done in less than thirty minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her abilities as a poet and lyricist. She explains how her experiences of suffering through the years has served as an infinite source of unusual inspiration. She says that even when she is not writing about events that are actually happening, all of her pain due to her childhood and the grief over the loss of her daughter find its way into the music. This influences my music and helps to create this greater understanding behind all things that's among the most significant things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I'll be able to listen to any one of my music 20 years down the road and be happy with what I had to say.
